JULIA’S ROSE
Hybrid Tea Rose. 1976. 3ft-4ft.
This is a most popular rose, no doubt because of its
unusual colouring.
The flowers are various shades of copper, parchment
and brown, all mixed in to a handsome tone that intensifies
dramatically in cool to cold conditions.
There is also a slight hint of blue, which is not surprising
as one of the parents are the ever popular 'Blue
Moon'
'Julia's Rose' has a place in every collection although
it is not the strongest of growers and needs plenty of
TLC but the rewards are there if you make the extra
effort.
Flowers well for most of the season and has handsome reddish foliage, the combination being the flower arrangers
dream.
Not a strong perfume but very pleasant.

A very tidy hybrid tea with super blooms of orange/red
shades.
Fully double flowers which repeat well.
A very good cut flower variety as the blooms last
well in water.
A Gold Medal winning rose that has good disease
resistance and is an easy to grow variety.
A great rose for creating blocks of colour in the
garden.
With the parents being ‘Silver Jubilee’ x ‘Just
Joey’ this one is bred to be a stunner.
An ideal bedding or border rose.
Not a tall grower but keeps it upright shape and
only spreads a little.
Lovely perfume.
