Hybrid Tea Rose. 1995. 3ft-4ft.
Crimson hybrid tea roses of quality are a rarity these days,
so its good to have this addition.
A strong clean grower producing classically formed large
blooms on strong stems.
Makes a good cut flower and has a pleasant fragrance.
Definitely one for the love in your life.
A very beautiful rose to give as a gift but is absolutely stunning
when grown in a group in the garden.
This is what a red hybrid tea should look like.
Plant this in your garden and the your neighbours will soon
follow suit.
Hybrid Tea Rose. 1966.3ft-4ft
Hybrid Tea Roses
This popular award winning large flowered rose has
certainly stood up well against new varieties.
Its fully doubled blooms are well formed from the
bud all the way through to opening, and they have
been widely used on the rose show bench for exhibition
purposes and have won many prizes for their
crispness of style.
The blooms are a pleasing yellow, without any
harshness of tone, while the outer petals sometimes
carry some tinges of pink, and the open flowers can
often be seen with an edged overlay of pink.
A good bush for any garden but keep it well away
from the pathway as it has many thorns.
The mid green leaves are extremely glossy on growth
that is strong and stout. Tends to get a little black
spot but can easily be kept under control with regular
spraying.
Scented.
Named after Alexander Dickson 1893-1975, for many
years head of the Dickson family of Ulster rose
breeders.
Also known as "Irish Gold"
