Community of Nations
(CARICOM).
McCabe also attended a
coordination meeting in
support of the 2011 Southern
Command-sponsored
CARICOM Security Strategy
Development workshop
scheduled to take place in
Jamaica this June. At the
request of USSOUTHCOM,
the NSA faculty has partici-
pated in the workshop
since 2007.
The NSA Department
(formerly the National
Security Decision Making
(NSDM) Department)
focuses on the effective
selection and leadership of
military forces within the
constraints of available
national resources.
The department provides
instruction in the strategic
planning and selection of
future military forces, and
their potential use as a tool
of national power; the
nature of economic, political,
organizational, and
behavioral factors that
affect military forces.
