� REMEMBER The Overall Objective should expla<strong>in</strong> why your project is important to<br />

society. It should do this by referr<strong>in</strong>g to the longer-term benefits anticipated for<br />

direct beneficiaries, and to the wider benefits foreseen for other groups. Your<br />

project alone is not expected to achieve the Overall Objective: this will require the<br />

impacts <strong>of</strong> other projects and programmes, and possibly actions by other donors as<br />

well.<br />
