The refurbishment of an outdoor lighting<br />

system by replacing lamps and luminaires<br />

whilst maintaining column positions and<br />

power supply allows for energy savings<br />

of between 37 % and 70 % (Table 1.28).<br />

Very high savings are achieved, e.g. in classic<br />

lanterns and flagelliform luminaires with<br />

extremely old lamp and luminaire technology.<br />
