8. Service transformation in 2010/11
Changes to the service in light of the service transformation exercise
Details of the impact of “Local Government Review”, “Shared Services” and
Joint / Partnership working IN December 2009 were not fully clear in order to
have a clear direction of travel for services delivery. The situation should
become clearer In early 2010.
Systems Thinking review of some of the services in Street Scene commenced in
December 2009. Once the review has been completed, consideration of the
reviews findings will be considered and where possible implemented.
Financial resources allocated to Street Scene Services were reviewed in
November 2009. It is proposed that budgets are reduced in some of the front
line services to meet the council’s budget deficit in 2010 / 11. There will be
consequences to service standards and provision in several areas.
