Forecast <strong>Technology</strong> of the Productivity<br />

of Rock Bed Saturated by Oil <strong>and</strong> Gas<br />

Description<br />

The proposed technology is based on the methodology of<br />

<strong>in</strong>tegrated <strong>in</strong>vestigations what suppose to be used <strong>in</strong> develop<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>troduc<strong>in</strong>g some new methods to def<strong>in</strong>e <strong>and</strong><br />

predict the parameters of productive level of reservoir oil<strong>and</strong><br />

gas-saturated rocks <strong>in</strong> nature at great depths. So that<br />

seismic exploration <strong>and</strong> prospect<strong>in</strong>g, development <strong>and</strong> estimation<br />

of deeper oil <strong>and</strong> gas deposits would be of more<br />

effectiveness.<br />

This technology needs to sett<strong>in</strong>g up a database of physicalmechanical,<br />

petrophysical <strong>and</strong> reservoir properties of geological<br />

environment. All these issues will be directly applied<br />

to the seismic exploration <strong>and</strong> prospect<strong>in</strong>g of treasures of<br />

the earth (especially hydrocarbon accumulations), to the<br />

plann<strong>in</strong>g of deposits development, oil <strong>and</strong> gas production,<br />

to the geological model<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> estimation of hydrocarbon<br />

accumulations.<br />

Innovative Aspects <strong>and</strong> Ma<strong>in</strong> Advantages<br />

The advantages of proposed technology <strong>in</strong> comparison<br />

with the other present-day technologies are as follows,<br />

namely this technology:<br />

1. Allows to compose the three-dimensional geological<br />

model<strong>in</strong>g of high accuracy <strong>in</strong>stead of a mere putt<strong>in</strong>g together<br />

of some plane sections, as it is usually done;<br />

2. Enables one to set up the database of physical-mechanical,<br />

petrophysical <strong>and</strong> filter-capacity (reservoir) properties<br />

for rocks <strong>and</strong> layers before borehole drill<strong>in</strong>gs;<br />

3. Can be readily applied to develop even more powerful<br />

software to process <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>terpret the results obta<strong>in</strong>ed with<br />

multi-component technologies, both field seismic <strong>and</strong> borehole<br />

data;<br />

4. Can assist <strong>in</strong> solv<strong>in</strong>g the problems of seismic anisotropy<br />

with more efficiency <strong>and</strong> reliability, <strong>in</strong> research<strong>in</strong>g its nature<br />

<strong>and</strong> the stress sources of the Earth's at various depths.<br />

Areas of Application<br />

<strong>Technology</strong> can be readily used <strong>in</strong> locat<strong>in</strong>g boreholes, <strong>in</strong><br />

def<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g the operat<strong>in</strong>g procedures <strong>and</strong> parameters of<br />

drill<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>in</strong>vestments, etc. The method can be helpful for<br />
