Executive Secretary Public Service Commission — Management Summary Report Division Responsibilities • All formal cases, applications and complaints requiring Commission action are filed here. • Issues notices required for processing cases including certificate applications, suspension orders, setting for hearing orders, subpoenas, etc. • Electronically enter all actions taken on formal cases, from the date of filing to conclusion, into the official docket. • Mails all orders entered by the Commission and Division of Administrative Law Judges. • Responsible for the safe custody and preservation of all documents on file. • Control of all annual reports and tariffs. Public Service Commission — Management Summary Report Executive Secretary Division 2006 Accomplishments 1. This Division moved originals of Administrative Law Judge and Commission Orders from an off-site storage facility to a secure location owned by the PSC, thereby creating an annual budget savings of $35,000. 2. In June, 2006, this Division, with assistance from the Data Processing Section, developed a data base capable of tracking the location of archived closed case files, thus eliminating the need for a paper record. 3. Several upgrades have been implemented to the PSC’s Web Docket to provide detailed tracking of all activities in Formal Cases, Notices of Intent, Tower Access Assistance Fund applications, and Ordinances. 4. In 2006, this Division issued and released 4,740 Commission and/or Administrative Law Judge Orders. 5. In 2006, the Annual Reports and Tariff Offices were transferred to this Division. Working together with the Data Processing Section and Water/Wastewater Division, we have completed a significant project that provides the ability to all regulated utilities to file their annual reports online using the PSC web site.
