Public Service Commission — Management Summary Report Water & Wastewater Division 2006 Accomplishments 1. Designed and implemented a performance measures system for water and sewer utilities. During the design phase, both utilities and our regulatory partners were consulted in the development of the measures. 2. Completed work on the electronic (Excel) Annual Report for water and sewer utilities. Conducted seminars to train utility staff in how to properly complete the electronic annual report and the performance measures. 3. Helped in design and Implementation of Compass in our Assistance Section to track informal complaints and assistance requests and make this information accessible on the PSC website. This database has now been adopted by other divisions of the PSC. 4. All financial water and sewer cases and Infrastructure application reviews are now performed by the Water and Wastewater Division which has led to more consistency in recommendations. 5. Began the process of scanning Infrastructure applications into electronic format. Once completed, this Commission’s Infrastructure data base will contain not only Staff comments but the applications themselves. This will provide all the information on a particular application to the public we serve as well as Commission Staff. Page 30
