The S64 bus begins its route in Coram's<br />

Homestead Village, going to Gordon<br />

Heights and Coram Plaza, then to Old<br />

Town Road and Terryville Road and the<br />

Port Jefferson Shopping Plaza and along<br />

Nesconset Highway to J. J. Jeffrey's and<br />

the Fox theatre, onto Sycamore Circle,<br />

rficolls Road, to University Hospital, the<br />

University Administration Building, the<br />

Stony Brook Railroad Station, Stony<br />

Brook Wllage, St. James and the Mall.<br />

The bus runs approximately every hour<br />

and 20 minutes.<br />

Transportation from the Shirley-Mastic<br />

area through Yaphank and Coram Plaza<br />

to the Port Jefferson Plaza, with several<br />

additional stops along the way, is<br />

available on bus S71, while riders from<br />

Riverhead can catch the S62 to get as far<br />

as Hauppauge, with stops in Rocky Point,<br />

the Port Jefferson Shopping Plaza, and<br />

Smith Haven Mall.<br />

The S56 serves Commack, Kings Park,<br />

San Remo, Smithtown and Smith Haven<br />

Mall, with stops including the Smithtown<br />

Library, St. Johns Hospital and the Kings<br />

Park Station. Service is approximately<br />

every 45 minutes.<br />

The S58 serves East Northport, Huntington<br />

Square Mall, Commack,<br />

Smithtown, St. James, Smith Haven Mall,<br />

Centereach, Selden, Suffolk Community<br />

College, Coram, and Middle Island. The<br />

bus runs approximately every hour.<br />

Coram Bus Company service is<br />

available, in general, from early morning<br />

until mid-evening. Check complete<br />

schedules with the company for exact<br />

times. All bus service is Monday through<br />

Saturday.<br />

Fares on these buses are 75 cents on all<br />

local routes, plus five cents for transfers.<br />

The company offers a bus token program<br />

for handicapped persons and senior<br />

citizens. With valid municipally-issued<br />

cards, these riders may buy and use the<br />

tokens. No proof of residence is<br />

necessary. Tokens cost 25 cents and may<br />

be used on Suffolk County bus routes only.<br />

For information regarding wheelchair<br />

accessible buses, call 360-5700 Monday<br />

through Friday between 8 AM and 4:30<br />

PM.<br />

Coram Bus Company also offers special<br />

trips at intervals throughout the year to<br />

more distant destinations. Buses are<br />

available five days a week for passengers<br />

21 years of age and over, for instance, to<br />

Atlantic City,-and the riders get a $20<br />

bonus from the casinos. There are also<br />

trips to Great Adventure and to New York<br />

Washington, D.C., the Bronx Zoo, and<br />

during the ski season to Deer Run. Ski trip<br />

costs include equipment rental.<br />
