The OnGarde tower
design has been based
around two key principals,
prevention and detection.
Preventing the crime is by far
and away the most important
element of any security system.
If detection only is relied on
then significant damage could
already be done by the time
action is taken. That is why the
OnGarde tower is enclosed in
an eight foot high tamper proof
cabinet with highly visible decals;
enough to put off most would be
opportunist criminals. Should the
sight of the tower not be enough
to put off the criminal, then once
detected by the camera the
intruder will be given a clear live
audible warning that they have
been detected and that they
should leave the site immediately.
A unique feature of the OnGarde
CCTV tower is the advanced
detection method that has been
employed, which sets it aside
from other potential solutions.
The OnGarde tower uses Video
Content Analysis (VCA) to identify
intruders; the VCA in the OnGarde
tower has a unique sharp motion
detection system, originally
used by the military. The system
becomes aware of any changes
in the detection area and will
automatically report any changes
to the Monitoring Centre. This
change will then be evaluated
by the Monitoring Centre Staff to
avoid false alarms; if the threat
is genuine the monitoring centre
will take the appropriate action.
The use of VCA means that the
OnGarde tower can be installed
to the specific needs of your
site. You may want to monitor
activity in certain areas of the
site only and those needs may
change depending upon the time
of day, all of this is possible with
the OnGarde tower. As a result
users of the OnGarde also see
very significant savings in both
normal man guarding costs and
call outs due to false alarms.
The OnGarde tower can be
installed in as little as one hour
and can easily be moved around
your site as your needs change
and comes fitted with many
features as standard including
floodlights and an anti tamper
alarm system and is available in
either 110V or 240V versions and
72 hour battery backup if power
