announcement the<br />
<strong>ad</strong>ditional funding<br />
of £27.8 million for<br />
ro<strong>ad</strong>s maintenance,<br />
including £20 million<br />
for resurfacing of rural<br />
ro<strong>ad</strong>s, only brings us up<br />
to a total of £70 million<br />
for this financial year<br />
of 2012 / 13, some 50<br />
million short of what<br />
independent reports<br />
and Ro<strong>ad</strong>s Service own<br />
structural maintenance<br />
funding plan say is<br />
required to maintain the<br />
structural integrity of<br />
the ro<strong>ad</strong> network in its<br />
current condition.<br />

this <strong>ad</strong>ditional funding<br />
translates very quickly<br />
