Keith Klawitter, our director of engineering, founded KRK
Systems in 1986. He had been an engineer for years working
on such films as "Brainstorm" and "The Doors". Frustrated by
the inability to find a monitor that could give him clarity and
accuracy, he began building his own monitors. Other engineers
and producers began to take notice of Keith's high-end studio
monitors, a groundswell began and a company was born.
The millennium has brought changes and growth to the
company. KRK has become one of the most highly respected
names in the studio world. Our products have earned an
exclusive position along side the most elite audiophile-quality
products. The finest components are combined with superior
cabinet design, driver technology, crossover interfacing, and
amplifier technology. For example our 5.1 surround systems are
tolerance matched to within 0.05dB!
KRK is now a Stanton company, and this gives us room to grow
and achieve new heights. We're very excited about what the
future holds.
The bottom line is your ears. We do exhaustive listening tests to
insure what's being recorded or mixed is exactly what you're

Now in its second generation, the 7000B offers improved frequency response and lower distortion. The
7000B's use Kevlar tweeters and woofers for extremely quick response without unnecessarily moving excess
air, thus eliminating disfigured sound reproductions. To further enhance the 7000B's accuracy, its cabinet
features a phase alignment design. Because high frequencies travel faster, the low frequency driver is placed
closer to the listener. The result is the low and high frequencies reaching the listener at the same time. Due
to the larger woofer and enclosure, the bass response extends lower than the 6000. Video shielding is

The latest in our subwoofer line, the S8 is ideal for small areas. The S8 construction consists of 3/4" MDF,
which reduces resonance diminishing coloration to provide a more even sound. Like it's predecessors the
S12 and S10, the S8 has radiused corners and edges, and a slotted port to give you tighter bass. One of
the features of the S8 is a variable low pass filter that enables you to tailor the crossover point to match
satellite monitors. The phase switch also gives you flexibility in room placement. Matched with 5 - V4's, it's

Exposé E8T New For 2003!
Mixing is always easy when you’re listening to the truth. The E8 T’s uncompromised design combines
2 fully complementary symmetric discrete power amplifiers with an active crossover, an inverted
dome Tioxid tweeter and a special double-woven Kevlar woofer. Much more sophisticated than typical

Everyone’s heading towards 5.1 mixes, whether they’re soundtracks for Dolby Digital (AC-3) or DTS, or
music-only to audio DVD. In fact, our customers tell us the move from traditional 2 speaker stereo mixing
to surround sound will impact virtually every studio in the near future. Because each studio is unique, KRK
offers many different Orbital Surround Sound solutions to fit your space and budget require-
ments. With 5.1 surround, the subwoofer’s job is not to improve the low frequency perform-
ance of the surround speakers, but to reproduce the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel of the
5.1 mix. A full-range signal is sent to the 5 channels, so all speakers should be the same.
