Providence Community Health foundation
n Providence festival of Trees in Medford celebrated 20 years of
holiday joy. from the first event in 1992, which raised $63,000
for Providence Hospice, through the 20th annual event, more
than $6 million has been raised in support of priority projects
at Providence Medford Medical Center. The formal opening
night Gala welcomed 275 guests; the Holiday Party entertained
close to 550 people; and the Evening of Giving reached out
to more than 1,200 children in need and foster families. More
than $463,000 was raised during the five-day event, with net
proceeds going to support Providence Spine institute and
interventional pain management. The foundation acknowledges
that the festival would not be possible without the generous
support of community sponsors and helping hands of all the
volunteers.
n The southern oregon branch of the Swindells Resource Center
of Providence Child Center attracted significant funding in
2011. This will allow it to provide sign language classes, create
a speakers series, and expand its hours to meet the growing
requests from families of children with disabilities. The
foundation is grateful to the following partners for their support:
