n on feb. 2, 2011, nearly three years after the opening of the
Providence Cancer Center tower, foundation board members
watched the final piece of the “Center of Hope” come into place at
the dedication and blessing of the fountain Café. board members
were instrumental in raising funds to complete the cancer center.
after the ribbon cutting, attendees were treated to samples from the
new café’s menu.
n Toward building a new guest housing facility, Providence
Portland Medical foundation received more than $475,000 in
gifts, which brought the total to almost $1 million, pushing us
closer to ground breaking. The facility, featuring 30 guest rooms,
will provide a welcoming place of lodging for patients and
families from out of town.
Taking part in the dedication and blessing of the new Fountain Cafe at
