<strong>Providence</strong> benedict<strong>in</strong>e nurs<strong>in</strong>g Center foundation<br />
n <strong>Providence</strong> benedict<strong>in</strong>e nurs<strong>in</strong>g Center received the Excellence<br />
<strong>in</strong> action award from My <strong>in</strong>nerView, a national source of data<br />
on skilled nurs<strong>in</strong>g facilities. The award honors facilities rated<br />
<strong>in</strong> the top 10 percent nationally for outstand<strong>in</strong>g customer<br />
satisfaction. “We are honored to be considered among the<br />
nation’s best,” said Emily Dazey, executive director of <strong>Providence</strong><br />
benedict<strong>in</strong>e. “This award belongs to everyone on our team<br />
for the excellent, compassionate care they provide every day.”<br />
Donations play a significant role <strong>in</strong> help<strong>in</strong>g the nurs<strong>in</strong>g center<br />
ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> its superb service.<br />
n Thanks to a pledge from a generous donor, the nurs<strong>in</strong>g center<br />
was able to beg<strong>in</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g an endowment for the ma<strong>in</strong>tenance<br />
of its therapy gardens. These colorful, sensory-rich gardens are<br />
an <strong>in</strong>tegral part of the environment and a popular haven for<br />
residents, families and staff. Studies show that patients exposed<br />
to natural light and the beauty of the outdoors feel better and<br />
heal faster.<br />
