The main contradiction in the school leadership was the balance of the demands
as set up by the various players from the community. The principal has to follow
the rules and guidelines as stipulated by the ministry and, at the same time, take
into account the opinions of the other significant players in the activity system (as
in the community and division of labour), as shown by the lightning-shaped arrows
in Figure 5.
