ENGLISH CORNER
LIGHTS, CAMERA... ACTION!
On November 29th, high school graduate students (1º Bch) went to the theatre to
see an English performance. It was better than we expected since it was a big surprise
that we took part in the play. At the beginning, everybody smiled because many of
the students didn't understand what the actors were saying, but later those smiles
turned into laughs when four of our classmates went on stage.
The play was about a film
recording with its different
scenes. This film dealt with a
woman who worked for the Mafia and she ran away to
Mexico with the stolen money. The gansters were angry
because the money was supposed to be theirs too, but they
lost it. So they decided to search for the girl, while the police
was hard on their heels.
The woman found a boy who she fell in love with in
Mexico, where, at the end, everybody met.
Undoubtedly, it was an amazing hour seeing our mates
trying to speak English on the stage while we were laughing
and doing our best to understand the whole thing.
