Los obreros cristianos en África animan a los creyentes
a copiar las Escrituras en un cuaderno, para ayudarles a
aprender la Palabra de Dios. Algunos han escrito libros
enteros, aun toda la Biblia. Un obrero dice: “Muchas
veces cuando llega cualquier tipo de persecución, queremos
orar que Dios nos la quite. Una amiga en Zimbabwe
estaba sufriendo problemas con la visión. Su familia le
dijo que eso fue resultado de que ella servía a Dios y
copiaba su Palabra. Ella les contestó: ‘Entonces alabado
sea Dios. Si Él quiere quitarme la vista, entonces gloria a
Dios’. Su familia seguía llamándola tonta, porque ella les
decía que oye a Dios cada día y que le encanta estar en la
Palabra. Ella me dijo: ‘Amo a Cristo de tal manera que a
Él le pertenece mi vista, y seguiré sirviéndole, no importa
lo que diga mi familia terrenal’. ¡Dele gracias a Dios que se
mejoraron los ojos, y ella continúa testificando de Cristo
y escribiendo su Palabra! Ore para que más personas tengan
ese tipo de dedicación. Pídale a Dios que sostenga a
los que ha llamado cuando experimentan la persecución
de su propia familia”.
Salvando a los niños
Por falta de dinero y muchas deudas, una madre en el sur de Asia pensaba
que no tenía otra opción sino vender a la hija a una casa de prostitución
por 300 dólares por año. Se cree que tener relaciones con una
muchacha pura le da a un hombre poderes especiales y le garantiza una
vida larga. Lo más probable es que la muchacha no reciba ninguna educación
formal, se estime sin valor y sea atormentada de problemas emocionales
y de salud por el resto de su vida. Es un escenario demasiado
común entre las familias destituidas donde prolifera el tráfico humano.
Muchos grupos de organizaciones no gubernamentales tratan de ayudar
a estas familias, pero el trabajo es muy difícil. Ore por las familias y por
los obreros que tratan de ayudarlas. Ore para que se cambien las actitudes
y que las familias pobres y desesperadas encuentren la esperanza en
Cristo Jesús. Ore por los creyentes que trabajan para salvar, en la tierra y
para la eternidad, a las víctimas del tráfico humano.
Buenas nuevas en el café
Solo pensaban tomar un café y charlar
un rato, pero no podían dejar pasar una
buena oportunidad. Los dos obreros
cristianos eran los únicos clientes en el
café, y el dueño se sentaba en una mesa
cercana. Los creyentes aprovecharon el
momento para presentar el evangelio. El
dueño en oración recibió la salvación,
la dádiva de Dios. En las semanas que
vienen, los dos obreros del Equipo París
regresarán continuamente al café para
ayudar al nuevo creyente en el discipulado,
enseñándole a testificar a la familia,
los amigos y los clientes. Por favor,
ore por estos tiempos de adoración y
entrenamiento. Ore para que el dueño
del café tenga denuedo para testificar
de Cristo, y que su café llegue a ser un
lugar donde los grupos puedan estudiar
la Palabra de Dios. Pida que este nuevo
hermano crezca rápidamente en la sabiduría
divina que atraiga a otros a la fe en
Cristo.

True Sight
Christian workers in Africa encourage believers to copy
down Scripture in notebooks to help them learn the Word
of God. Some have written down entire books, even the
whole Bible. One worker in Africa says: “Many times when
persecution of any kind arises, we want to start praying
that God will remove it. A friend in Zimbabwe started having
eye problems. Her family told her it was because she was
serving God and copying His Word. She responded, ‘Then
praise God. If He wants to take my eyesight, then glory to
God.’ Her family kept calling her stupid, because she would
tell them that she hears God on a daily basis and she loves
being in the Word. She told me, ‘I love Jesus so much that
my eyesight belongs to Him, and I will continue to serve
Him no matter what my earthly family says.’ Give thanks to
God that her eyes got better, and she continues to share
with people about Christ and writing down His Word! Pray
for more people to have this kind of dedication. Ask God to
sustain those He has called when they go through persecution
from their own family.”
Saving the Children
Desperate for money and heavily in debt, a mother in South
Asia felt that her only option was to sell her daughter to a
brothel for 300 dollars for a year. Having relations with a
pure young girl is believed to give a man special powers and
assure him of a longer life. This young girl will most likely
end up with no education, poor self-esteem, and a variety
of health and emotional problems that will haunt her for the
rest of her life. This is an all-too-common scene among
destitute families where human trafficking is thriving. Many
non-governmental organization (NGO) groups are trying to
help these families, but the job is very difficult. Pray for these
families and the workers who are trying to help them. Pray
that attitudes will change and poor families who have no
hope will find hope in Jesus Christ. Pray for Christians who
are working to save the victims of human trafficking on earth
and for eternity.
Good News in the coffee shop
They were just planning to get a cup of coffee and visit a
bit, but the opportunity was too good to pass by. The two
Christian workers were the only customers in the café, and
the owner was sitting at another table, within easy earshot.
The Christians took advantage of this moment to share the
Gospel. The owner readily accepted God’s gift and prayed
for salvation. In the weeks to come, the two Team Paris
workers will continually return to the cafe to disciple this
new believer, teaching him to share his faith with his family,
friends, and customers. Please lift up these ongoing times
of worship and training. Pray that the cafe owner will be
bold in sharing Christ with those around him, and that his
cafe will become a place where groups may study God’s
Word. Ask that this new brother will grow quickly in godly
wisdom that will draw others to faith in Christ.
