6.2.1 3-Point Harness<br />
5. Buckle harness to the latch between child’s legs. Make sure that<br />
you hear a “click.”<br />
DO NOT use the infant restraint if<br />
the harness does not latch in place.<br />

6. From the back, pull strap through<br />
harness tightener to tighten the straps<br />
as shown ➊. CHECK that both straps<br />
are flat and tight on child’s shoulders.<br />
7. Snap harness clip pieces together ➋.<br />
Position harness clip in middle of chest, ➋<br />
level with armpits and away from the<br />
neck ➌.<br />
8. SAFETY CHECK:<br />
a) CHECK that harness straps are not<br />
twisted.<br />
b) CHECK that the harness is snug. A<br />
snug strap should not allow any slack. It ➌<br />
lies in a relatively straight line without<br />
sagging. It does not press on the child’s<br />
flesh or push the child’s body into an<br />
unnatural position ➌.<br />
