A career in style the exhibit “cartier 1899-1949.A career in Style” brings together a unique collection of 230 jewels, watches and objects belonging to the cartier collection as well as some acquisitions by calouste gulbenkian, belonging to the Foundation. there are also some original drawings – some of which linked to the collector, mouldings and diverse documentation belonging to the Foundation. the cartier collection has been exhibited in the most prestigious museums in the world such as the hermitage Museum, Saint petersburg, British Museum, London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, new york, Museum of Fine Arts, houston and the Shanghai Museum. Organised by the calouste gulbenkian Museum in cooperation with the cartier collection and the publisher Skira, responsible for the exhibit’s catalogue, this exhibit forms part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the calouste gulbenkian Foundation. Until April 29, temporary exhibit hall, Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, Avenida de Berna (metro station: Praça de Espanha). ExpOSIcIOnES • ExhIBItS Cartier 1899-1949 La trayectoria de un estilo La exposición “cartier 1899-1949. La trayectoria de un estilo” reúne un conjunto excepcional de 230 joyas, relojes y objetos pertenecientes a la colección cartier, así como algunas de las adquisiciones de calouste gulbenkian, pertenecientes a la Fundación. Se exponen también diseños originales –algunos de los cuales se asocian al coleccionista- moldes y documentación diversa. La colección cartier ha sido exhibida en los últimos años en los más prestigiosos museos del mundo, entre los que cabe destacar, el Museo del Ermitage, en San petersburgo, el British Museum, en Londres, el Metropolitan Museum of Art, en nueva york, el Museo of Fine Arts, en houston o el Museo de Shangai. Organizada por el Museo calouste gulbenkian en colaboración con la colección cartier y la editorial Skira, que publica el catálogo, esta iniciativa se integra en las celebraciones del 50o aniversario de la Fundación calouste gulbenkian. Hasta el 29 de abril, sala de exposiciones temporales del Museo Calouste Gulbenkian, Avenida de Berna (metro: Praça de Espanha).
BES Photo 2006 Fotografía portuguesa Exposición colectiva de obras de los cuatro fotógrafos seleccionados para la tercera edición del premio BES photo 2006: Augusto Alves da Silva, daniel Blaufuks, Susanne themlitz y vasco Araújo. En opinión del Jurado de la Selección, estos fotógrafos han realizado, entre el 1 de julio de 2005 y el 30 de junio de 2006, las muestras más interesantes en el ámbito de la fotografía portuguesa actual. Hasta el 18 de marzo, de martes a domingo de 10:00 a 19:00, en el Centro de Exposiciones del Centro Cultural de Belém (zona Belém/Jerónimos).
