Documents for customs clearance<br />

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate <strong>of</strong> origin. For goods originating from countries<br />

with a preferential qualification, a preferential origin certificate should be inclu<strong>de</strong>d as it<br />

may reduce the customs duty.<br />

Import <strong>of</strong> goods that require import authorization<br />

The import <strong>of</strong> certain goods (e.g. clothing) may be subject to partially strictly regulated<br />

provisions. In many cases an import authorization is required. The documents required<br />

to obtain such an import authorization are governed by the respective country <strong>of</strong> origin<br />

or tra<strong>de</strong>. As a general rule, an application for an import authorization may be applied<br />

for prior to the arrival <strong>of</strong> the shipment, provi<strong>de</strong>d that all essential documents from your<br />

suppliers are available in a timely manner.<br />

Factura comercial, lista <strong>de</strong> empaque, certificado <strong>de</strong> origen. Para mercancías originadas<br />

en países con una calificación preferente, se <strong>de</strong>be incluir un certificado <strong>de</strong> origen<br />

preferencial, en tanto pue<strong>de</strong> disminuir los pagos <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>rechos <strong>de</strong> aduana.<br />

Importación <strong>de</strong> mercancías que requieren autorización <strong>de</strong> importación<br />

La importación <strong>de</strong> ciertas mercancías (por ejemplo prendas <strong>de</strong> vestir) pue<strong>de</strong> estar sujeta<br />

<strong>de</strong> manera parcial a disposiciones estrictamente reguladas. En muchos casos, se requiere<br />

<strong>de</strong> la autorización <strong>de</strong> importación. Los documentos requeridos para obtener tal autorización<br />

<strong>de</strong> importación se rigen por el respectivo país <strong>de</strong> origen o <strong>de</strong> comercio. Como regla<br />

general, la petición <strong>de</strong> una autorización <strong>de</strong> importación podrá ser solicitada antes <strong>de</strong> la<br />

llegada <strong>de</strong>l embarque, siempre que todos los documentos indispensables <strong>de</strong> sus proveedores<br />

estén disponibles en el momento oportuno.<br />
