SUMMARY<br />

The evolution of the labor world has brought with it changes in the way of working.<br />

Due to this, a very resounded but slightly studied phrase exists at present: it is the<br />

case of the psychosocial risk factors, which are a condition that the worker<br />

experiences in his relation with his working environment and with the society that<br />

surrounds it. Nursing is a profession considered as potentially stressful and loaded<br />

of these factors, these professionals experiment, in their work, big emotional<br />

responsibility that turns into excessive tension for this reason the target of this<br />

investigation is to determine the existence of psychosocial risk factors in the nursing<br />

personnel of the day shift in a oncology hospital institution in order to propose<br />

recommendations for the prevention or improvement of the different areas of the<br />

organization of the work. The investigation has a descriptive character because it will<br />

allow to characterize a specific situation to which nursing personnel is exposed,<br />

questionnaire ISTAS21 in its short version was used, which is an adaptation of the<br />

Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (CoPsoQ), which was applied to a<br />

population of 24 nurses that work in the different areas of the hospital, on the other<br />

hand it was applied an interview of health which consists of 13 questions to compile<br />

information with regards to the symptomatology presented by the personnel. The<br />

obtained results indicate that the personnel presents in unfavorable levels<br />

psychological requirements, esteem, double presence and insecurity, and the<br />

symptoms that prevail are the physical tiredness and the gastrointestinal problems, it<br />

is recommended to apply strategies of intervention at individual level, group of work<br />

and institutionally, as well as activities faced to the emotional control.<br />
