This region conjugates the exceptional landscapes’ beauty where the main actor is the sun with its permanent presence, with the cultural and spiritual richness of the Andean world. Richness represented by Pucaras (Indian fortresses), Antigales , rock painting, and archeological sites, together with religious festivities and ancestral customs that strengthen and deepen the sense of community. Since they are agricultural societies, the most distinctive celebrations are the ones that observe the cycles of Nature, like Pachamama’s worshiping during the month of August. All the landscape is peculiar because of the coloring of the mountains brushed by the Rio Grande. Esta región conjuga la excepcional belleza paisajística, donde el actor principal es el sol, con su presencia permanente; con la riqueza cultural y espiritual propia del mundo andino, representada por pucaras, antigales, petroglifos y sitios arqueológicos junto a festividades religiosas y costumbres ancestrales que fortalecen y profundizan el sentido de comunidad. Por tratarse de sociedades agrícolas, las celebraciones más sobresalientes son las que marcan los ciclos de la Naturaleza, como es el culto a la Pachamama durante el mes de agosto.
