LA FLECHADA
Se trata de un ritual que se celebra
al culminar la construcción de una
vivienda. Consiste en colgar un huevo
del techo de la habitación principal
y el dueño de casa convoca a los
allegados y vecinos para participar
de la “flechada”. Cada uno de los invitados,
por turnos establecidos, tratará
de romper la cáscara disparando
una flecha con un rudimentario arco.
Una vez flechado el huevo, su contenido
es recibido por un hoyo cavado
en el piso de la habitación en forma
perpendicular al lugar del cual está
colgado. El afortunado arquero se
“compadrea” con el dueño de casa.
Esta ceremonia es considerada como
un augurio de felicidad y protección.
LAS OFRENDAS
Entre el 1 y el 2 de noviembre,
el poblador de esta región al recordar
a sus muertos cumple con una
ceremonia conocida como “la ofrendeada”.
Además de las comidas y
bebidas preferidas en vida por el difunto,
las ofrendas consisten en una
cantidad de panes con formas diversas,
amasados y horneados en pares,
entre deudos y vecinos. Transcurren
juntos la noche que une esos días,
recordando los mejores momentos
compartidos con el difunto. Al mediodia,
una vez cumplido el ritual,
los panes son repartidos entre todos
los que acompañaron a los deudos
en la conmemoración y la vigilia.
LA FLECHADA
This ritual takes place when finishing
the construction of a family house.
An egg will be hanging from the ceiling
of the main room and the owner invites
relatives, friends and neighbors to participate
of the “flechada”. Each one of
the guests will take turns aiming at the
egg with a rudimentary bow. Once the
egg is shot off and its content falls down
into a hole excavated in the floor for this
purpose, the fortunate archer becomes a
“compadre” with the house owner. This
ceremony is considered as an omen for
happiness and protection.
LAS OFRENDAS - OFFERINGS
On November first and second takes
place within the Andean people a ceremony
known as “la ofrendeada” - offerings.
In addition to the deceased’ preferred
meals and beverages, the offerings
also consist in a great amount of breads
of different shapes kneaded and backed
in pairs by relatives and neighbors who
gather for this occasion and spend the
night remembering the best moments
shared with the deceased. The next day,
at midday the bread will be shared with
all those who accompanied the family in
the vigil and commemoration.
