R Section7C. Changing Hydraulic Oil FilterElementThe hydraulic oil filter should be changed after every 500hours of operation or annually, whichever occurs first.A. Checking Engine Crankcase Oil LevelThe engine oil level should be checked after every 8 hoursof operation or daily as instructed in the Engine Operator’sManual furnished with this mower.1.2.3.Remove the oil filter element and properly discard it.See Figure 7-3. Fill the new filter with clean oil andinstall the filter. Hand tighten only.Run the engine at idle speed with the speed controllever in neutral for five minutes.Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank. It mustbe 3-1/4" inches from the top of the filler neck. Ifnecessary, add SAE 20W50 motor oil.B. Changing Engine Crankcase OilAfter the first 20 hours of operation, change the enginecrankcase oil and replace the oil filter. Thereafter,change the engine crankcase oil after every 100 hoursof operation or bi-weekly, whichever occurs first. Refer tothe Engine Operator’s Manual furnished with this mowerfor instructions.7.4Engine OilENGINE OILFILLERC. Changing Engine Oil FilterAfter the first 20 hours of operation, replace the engine oilfilter. Thereafter, replace the oil filter after every 200 hoursof operation or every month, whichever occurs first. Referto Engine Operator’s Manual for instructions. Do not overfill.Use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with a minimum octanerating of 87 and a maximum of 10% Ethanol.DO NOT use E85 Fuel. Using E85 Fuel will cause severedamage to the engine.To avoid personal injury or property damage, use extremecare in handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammableand the vapors are explosive.Figure 7-5.
