CONCEPTOS DE ACU51JCA DE SALAS 175La determinación de la curva tonal óptima de un local se basa en apreciaciones experimentales. basadasen la opinión y el gusto de los oyentes. además de en cond iciones objetivas en las que se ha observadoque el tiempo de reverberación óptimo depende, Cundamentalmente, de los siguientes :ISpcctoS:- Uso del recinto.- Dimensiones del mi smo.- NalUnllez¡¡ de la Cuente sonora (música. palllbru ... ).- Tipo de ob!":1 musica l.Estas observaciones han permitido elólborar una serie de ábacos y Córmulas empíricas que permitenestimar el tiempo de reverberación ópt imo. en Cunción del volumen y del uso del recinto.En la investigación quc nos ocupa. se han util ii'..ado las aportaciones de diCerentes autorcs y Cucntes.de las cuales destacamos las sigui entes:PlVlmesta de Klllulsell y HlIrr js5 (/950)Knudse n propone tiempos de reverberación óptimos. a la Crecuencia de 500 Hz. para tres usos principales:música. pa labra y cine. Dentro del uso musical )oc distinguen. a su vez. tres casos: música de cámara,concierto y de iglesia. Las ecuaciones que permiten obtener el RT óptimo a la Crecuencia de 500 Hz. enCunción del volumen. son de la Corma:RTop1 soo =il+b · logV[ I I Jdonde a y b son constantes que dependen del uso y V es el volumen de la sala (m 3 ) .A otras Crecuencias. los valores de RT se obtienen multiplicando el valor obtenido a 500 Hz por uncoeficie nte " R" que depende de la Crecuencia:En la tabla 2 aparecen los valore!. de R.RTopl f=RTopl500 · R [121Knudsen admite que es aceptable una desviación de hast,l el 10% de los ,'alares fi nal es de RT respectode éstos.
