NORMAS PARA LA PUBLICACIÓN DE UN ARTÍCULO<br />
EN NEFROLOGÍA<br />
NEFROLOGÍA es la publicación oficial de la Sociedad Española de <strong>Nefrología</strong> y está<br />
referenciada en la Web of Knowledge del Institute for Scientific Information (ISI-<br />
WOK). Está incluida en las bases de datos bibliográficas, MEDLINE, EMBASE, IME,<br />
IBECS y SCIELO. Los sumarios se reproducen en Current Contents-Clinical<br />
Practice, Current Advances in Biological Sciences y en otras publicaciones del ISI.<br />
Desde la propia Web de NEFROLOGÍA puede accederse a los textos íntegros, incluida<br />
la versión inglesa de los números ordinarios; también los textos íntegros <strong>originales</strong><br />
están incluidos en SciELO (scielo.isciii.es/scielo.php). En Excerpta Medica y en<br />
PubMed se encuentran los resúmenes en inglés. NEFROLOGÍA publica artículos de<br />
investigación básica o clínica relacionados con nefrología, hipertensión arterial,<br />
diálisis y trasplante renal. Se rige por el sistema de revisión por pares, y todos los<br />
trabajos <strong>originales</strong> se someten a evaluación interna y a revisiones externas.<br />
NEFROLOGÍA suscribe las normas de publicación del International Committee of<br />
Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).<br />
El idioma de la Revista es el español, y se admiten artículos en inglés de autores<br />
que no son de habla hispana. Todos los contenidos de los números regulares<br />
disponen también de su versión a texto completo en inglés, de acceso libre en la<br />
Web de la Revista, al igual que la versión original. NEFROLOGÍA publica al año 6<br />
números regulares, cada dos meses, y dispone de una edición de Formación<br />
Continuada (NEFROPLUS) y de una serie de suplementos y números extraordinarios<br />
sobre temas de actualidad, incluyendo los números de NEFROLOGÍA BASADA EN LA<br />
EVIDENCIA.<br />
NEFROLOGÍA se encuadra en el Grupo Editorial <strong>Nefrología</strong>, órgano de la Sociedad<br />
Española de <strong>Nefrología</strong> que coordina la producción de ediciones impresas o en<br />
formato digital para transmisión de pensamiento científico nefrológico y<br />
formación continuada en <strong>Nefrología</strong>.<br />
Todos los contenidos y material complementario publicados en NEFROLOGÍA,<br />
NEFROPLUS y otras ediciones de NEFROLOGÍA o del Grupo Editorial <strong>Nefrología</strong>, se<br />

libre y gratuito, en el que se especifican el procedimiento de envío y las<br />

RULES OF PUBLICATION IN NEFROLOGIAGÍA<br />
NEFROLOGÍA is the official publication from the Spanish Society of Nephrology<br />
(SEN) and is a cited reference in the Institute for Scientific Information Web of<br />
Knowledge (ISI-WOK). It is included in the bibliographic databases MEDLINE,<br />
EMBASE, IME, IBECS and SCIELO. The articles’ tables of contents are reproduced<br />
in Current Contents-Clinical Practice, Current Advances in Biological Sciences<br />
and other ISI publications. Full versions of the texts, (including English versions of<br />
regular issues) can be accessed from the NEFROLOGÍA Web site. Some full versions<br />
are also included in SciELO (scielo.isciii.es/scielo.php). The abstracts in English are<br />
found in Excerpta Medica and PubMed. NEFROLOGÍA publishes basic or clinical<br />
research papers associated with nephrology, arterial hypertension, dialysis and<br />
kidney transplantation. All articles undergo a peer revision process, and all<br />
original texts are both assessed internally and proof-read externally. NEFROLOGÍA<br />
endorses the publication rules used by the International Committee of Medical<br />
Journal Editors (ICMJE).<br />
The Journal’s main language of publication is Spanish, and articles written in<br />
English by non-Hispanic authors are accepted. All contents of the regular issues<br />
are also available in English, and are easily accessible on the Journal's Web site,<br />
along with the original version. NEFROLOGÍA publishes six issues per year (one every<br />
two months). There is also a Continuing Education edition (NEFROPLUS) and a<br />
series of special editions about topical subjects, such as EVIDENCE-BASED NEPHROLOGY<br />
issues.<br />
NEFROLOGÍA belongs to the Grupo Editorial <strong>Nefrología</strong> publisher, which is a SEN<br />
member that manages printed and digital issues to publish scientific opinions<br />
regarding nephrology and continuing education in this area.<br />
All of the contents and additional material published in NEFROLOGÍA,<br />
NEFROPLUS and other editions from <strong>Nefrología</strong> or Grupo Editorial <strong>Nefrología</strong><br />
are included on the NEFROLOGÍA Web site (www.revistanefrologia.com) (free<br />
access). Information regarding the method for sending papers and the<br />
complete rules of publication in the journal can be easily accessed from<br />
