the presence of women in our organizations enriches decision
making, and help us to reinforce our customers, clients and
communities engagement, through different visions and innovation
systems. At PepsiCo Mexico, we want to leverage this range
of experiences to strength our long-term business strategy and
culture.
to achieve these objectives, we are working to provide a
supportive and empowering workplace where personal and
professional development can be balanced; at the same time,
we have the necessary procedures in place so that every day
more women can access to executive positions.
As a company committed to sustainable growth, we have
designed the following activities to support the presence of
women across the organization:
R Ensure representation of women within the company according
to objectives of PepsiCo Mexico.
R Identify high-potential female talent and support such talent
in their career development.
R Strengthen policies that allow a balance between personal
and professional life, and reinforce the culture of diversity
and inclusion.
R Strengthen the culture of inclusion within the organization,
through high impact programs.
R Develop mentoring programs for women in executive positions.
R Promote and reinforce the Women’s Networking Program
(local, regional and global).
At PepsiCo Mexico we seek to include women contributions
in all areas, both administrative and operational. In 2010, 1,200
promoter-saleswomen joined our sales force.
to date, we have reached significant achievements: 28.6%
of executive positions in the foods business are held by women,
and 26% in the beverage business.
“antes, ser maquinista era
una tarea de hombres, pero
ahora las mujeres estamos
demostrando que podemos
desarrollar estas acciones tan
bien como los hombres. es
difícil, pero es un gran logro
en mi vida. Me gustaría visitar
otras plantas y demostrar
que las mujeres sí podemos”.
Laura Landeros, Maquinista
“Before, being a machine
operator was a man’s
job, but now women are
demonstrating that we can
do it as well as men does.
It’s difficult, but it’s a great
achievement in my life. I
would like to visit other
plants and show that women
really can do it.”
