Cuando el año pasado,la marca dejó de fabricar en el país, la fábrica Dass habíadecidido cerrar. Desde el 2007, ensamblaban para la marca dela pipa, llegaron a hacer 19.000 pares diarios en 2015. Vuelvencon dos líneas de producción.Los casi 60.000 habitantes de Eldorado en Misiones estáncontentos. La fábrica Dass que el año pasado estuvo a punto decerrar cuando Nike decidió dejar de fabricar en Argentina, resucitóde sus cenizas.Nike decidió quedarse en el país y tomó la decisión de volvera fabricar en Dass. El presidente Alberto Fernández viajóespecialmente para el anuncio de la noticia.A veces la decisión de una empresa cambia el rumbo de unpueblo y el destino de sus habitantes. Cuando Dass fue fundadael 21 de agosto de 2007 tenía ocho empleados y comenzó afabricarle a Nike.Pese a tener otras marcas propias, Nike fue siempre su principalsostén. Entre el 2014 y 2015, la fábrica llegó a tener 1.500trabajadores. El 90% de lo que se fabricaba era calzado deportivopara la marca de la pipa, casi 19.000 pares por día.Darío Vera, delegado de Dass, contó: “A fines de 2017 noscomenzaron a deshojar. En diciembre de 2017 despidieron 175trabajadores, en junio de 2018, unos 150 operarios más y en juniode 2018: 150. Todo el tiempo nos despedían compañeros, entre2015 y fin de 2019 nos despidieron a 1200 trabajadores. Eseaño, todo lo que se fabricaba en la planta era Nike, el resto de lasmarcas se importaba. La empresa aguantó todos los embates consus seis líneas de producción sólo para Nike. Hasta que un día,cuando se enteró que Nike se iba, nos citaron y nos informaronque iban a cerrar. Ahora volvemos a estar contentos, trabajadores,empresa, sindicato y Gobierno hicimos mucho juntos para poderrevertir todo”.De los 1.500 que había en 2015 cuando fabricaban 23.000 paresde calzado deportivo al día quedaron apenas 303 trabajadores enla planta con una producción de 6700 pares al día. El resto de losdespedidos se las rebuscaba haciendo changas en Eldorado, sólounos pocos lograron reinsertarse.Pero no fue así, Nike decidió volver al país, Dass decidió hacer unainversión de 25 millones de dólares y tomar personal. Cuando elprimer día de febrero vieron entrar a Walter, padre de cuatro hijos,ex trabajador de la planta, no lo pudieron creer. Sobrevivió conchangas de herrería, ahora volvía a tener un trabajo, un sueldo,obra social, vacaciones y aguinaldo.Nike tendrá dos líneas de producción. Y de a poco crecerá. Elobjetivo de Dass y Nike es sustituir importaciones. La planta deDass tiene 8 líneas de producción activas, proyecta sumar 9 más,hasta llegar a un total de 15 líneas de producción, incorporandomayor producción de marcas propias.
