AutomotrizCon tecnologíaen marchaNo rugen los motores, pero la industria automotriz aceleraen silencio su marcha, digitaliza sus procesos y es unade las protagonistas, según algunos especialistas, de lacuarta revolución industrial. Así como basada en un conceptoy una visión esbozada por Jeremy Rifkin y avalada por elParlamento Europeo, en una declaración formal aprobadaen junio de 2007, se sostenía la tercera revolución científicotécnica,el sector no detiene su marcha rumbo a la nueva era.“Cuando hablamos de digitalización, la ubicamos en la cuartarevolución industrial, más conocida como Industria 4.0. Eseconcepto nació hace 10 años y trata de embarcar la capacidadque tienen los equipamientos de generar datos, conectarseentre ellos y crear procesos más inteligentes, eficientes, flexibles,seguros y a prueba de errores”, explica Leandro Escudeiro,gerente general Sudamérica para Industrial Technique en AtlasCopco Argentina.Es inédito de qué manera el concepto de cuarta revoluciónindustrial atraviesa a la producción automotriz. Manufacturainterconectada, datos en tiempo real (Big Data) e Inteligenciaartificial son algunas de las herramientas que llegaron para acelerarlos tiempos de producción. “Estas tecnologías se enmarcanen una serie de nuevos desarrollos ligados al procesamientode la información proveniente de interconexiones electrónicase integración de sistemas”, amplía Escudeiro. Y redondea: “Elproceso de digitalización de una planta automotriz acontececuando la empresa pasa a introducir los sistemas y equiposmonitoreados y conectados para obtener datos en tiempo real,poder cruzarlos, analizarlos y tomar las decisiones necesarias. Sonlos equipos y sistemas incorporados en la empresa que soportanese proceso de visión y transformación hacia la digitalización”.inversión de vehículos híbridos está América del Norte, Américadel Sur, India y los de la Asociación de Naciones del SudesteAsiático (Asean). La tecnología de los vehículos eléctricos conbatería tendrá más inversión en China y Europa occidental.Transformación. Desde 2015, la fábrica de Santa Isabel -ubicadaen Córdoba- vivió un profundo proceso de transformación, tantoa nivel tecnológico como a nivel cultural y “hoy está al nivel delas mejores plantas de la Alianza Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi delmundo”, destaca Vagner Mansan, Director de Fábrica Santa Isabelde Renault.En ese contexto, la automotriz incorporó las últimas tecnologíasde la “industria 4.0” a su proceso productivo. ¿De qué se trata?Con más de 120 robots sumados en los últimos años, 350 carrosguiados de manera automatizada, tablets en los puestos de trabajode los operadores, formaciones con realidad virtual e impresoras3D; Renault apuesta “a evolucionar y ubicarse a la vanguardiade la tecnología aplicada a la industria”, agrega el ejecutivo.Actualmente, se fabrican más de 240 vehículos por día, de seismodelos: Sandero, Stepway, Logan, Kangoo, Nissan Frontier yla recientemente incorporada Alaskan. “La Fábrica se encuentraoperativa hoy con los más estrictos protocolos sanitarios puestosen marcha para prevenir el contagio del Covid-19”, agrega Mansan.Implicancias. Los especialistas indican que el proceso, desde elpunto de vista de la industria automotriz, implica la transformaciónde la matriz productiva a partir de la implementación de sistemasdesarrollados para generar los datos y conectividad necesaria. “Deeste modo, los responsables son capaces de tomar decisiones deforma inmediata basadas en la información disponible y el objetivoesperado. Es decir que, si hay una demanda específica en undeterminado mercado o nicho por un modelo “x” de auto o unaevolución en el sistema de frenado o, incluso, si se desea cambiarel proveedor de airbags, la empresa puede hacerlo de forma muyrápida sin impactos en la producción. Por otro lado, al compararlos indicadores anteriores y posteriores al cambio es posibleevaluar los resultados”, afirma Escudeiro. Y se explaya: Los robotsestán en la industria automotriz desde 1970. “Lo que vemos, hoypor hoy, son robots que se han implementado en los procesosy que se diferencian por su mayor nivel de interacción con loshumanos, los llamados cobots (robots colaborativos)”.Según un estudio de KPMG, la digitalización y la conectividades la principal tendencia que tendrá el sector a mediano plazo,además del desarrollo de los vehículos eléctricos de batería. "Conla creciente oleada de conciencia ecológica, los fabricantes deequipos originales tendrán que hacer un mayor esfuerzo pararepensar cómo aplicar los avances tecnológicos con respecto a latecnología ICE, que en el pasado apenas se utilizaban para reducirla emisión de CO2", anticipó Dieter Becker, líder internacional delárea automotriz en KPMG.
