Chapitre 1 1.2. Installation de Maxent Le programme Maxent sera utilisé pour l’analyse de modéles de distribution des espèces décrits dans le Chapitre 6 de ce manuel. Pour télécharger et utiliser Maxent correctement, vous aurez besoin d’avoir Java sur votre ordinateur. La plupart des ordinateurs modernes ont Java installé par défaut, mais le programme est aussi disponible gratuitement à l’adresse : http://www.java.com/fr/ Si Maxent ne fonctionne pas sur votre ordinateur, il est vraisemblable que Java n’y a pas été installé. 1.2.1. Installation des programmes et de données d’exemple à analyser 1.2.2. Comment installer Maxent Maxent est un programme libre qui peut être téléchargé à l’adresse suivante : http://www. cs.princeton.edu/~schapire/maxent/. Le fichier exécutable du programme est téléchargé directement, il n’y a donc pas besoin d’une installation séparée. Etapes : 1. Les documents qui expliquent les concepts utilisés par Maxent peuvent être trouvés sur le site Web cité ci-dessus. 2. Avant de télécharger le programme, fournissez l’information de contact demandée. 3. Enfin, acceptez l’accord de licence et téléchargez le programme. 1 2 3 4. Les fichiers du programme Maxent peuvent être téléchargés séparément ou ensemble dans un format compressé (maxent.zip). 5. Sauvegardez les fichiers dans un emplacement pratique sur votre disque dur. Pour lancer Maxent, double-cliquez sur le fichier JAR (*.jar). Note Si vous avez le logiciel de compression de données Winrar installé sur votre ordinateur, il se peut qu’il soit associé aux fichiers JAR, 17
