Thanking the Lord for Summer Time Fun
Well, August is here, some of you have already
returned from vacation. Others might just be heading
off. Either way just think; in 4 or so weeks, it’s back
to school! Hoping everyone is having a good summer,
play safe. Don’t forget to give thanks to the Lord for His
bounty of love, food, fun, family and friends!

it is not something that man made up, this Body and
Blood actually came from the Lord Himself during

Spring garage sale results
Thank you to all volunteers and donors who
helped in our Spring Garage Sale. A total of $700
was collected and will pay for the emergency lights
for the church and the parish hall.
Annual fund raising
Would you like to have extra money in your
pockets? The parish will give you the opportunity
to win up to $2000 with its annual draw which will
take place on October 3
Children’s Liturgy
We have a children’s liturgy, a separate program
during Mass for youngsters from ages 5 through 12.
They will hear the Word of God in a format suitable
for youth.

Our beautiful church
Thank you to all volunteers who keep our church
well kept inside (spring cleaning) and out (fl owers
and raking). If you would like to lend a hand, there
is painting to be done and the windows and carpet
need cleaning.

If you are interested or know of a Cantley-based
organization that might be interested in renting the
church rectory, please get in touch with us for a visit

light”
We encourage you to volunteer your services by
contacting the parish secretary or a church warden.
Whatever your talents are we can use them. You
can also make a fi nancial contribution to a particular
project. A tax receipt will be issued for monetary donations.
We need to buy paint, ceramic tiles, fl oating
fl oor, doors, smoke detectors, lights, cupboards, etc.
