Number of addition elements (field grid, 1500 mm) ...........................................................................................................
System shelter type CREDO Twin, roof depth 2 x about 2000 mm.
The system shelter's structure is erected as a modular building kit system by configuring a base element together with a number of
addition elements to achieve a required length (L) for the system.
Both the base element as well as addition elements are to be designed for a field grid of 1500 mm. The roofs have a slope of
about 5 degrees toward the centre axis. The roofing material is to be trapezoidal sheet steel especially alloyed for outdoor usage.
All edges and cold-rolled sections are to be coated in a so-called duplex process, i.e. galvanising and subsequent powder coating
per RAL, for optimal corrosion protection.
The trapezoidal steel decking overhangs are enclosed at the outer ends and at the sides with special capping sections to improve static characteristics
and optical appearance. The trapezoidal decking is screw fastened to the rain gutter running the length of its centre axis.
The roofing material rests on two channel-section roof joists that extend in a cantilever plane. The decking has a non-positive connection
to the frame made with screws and EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) sealing washers. The special geometry of the roofing
joists substantially conceals the screw fastenings.
The ribs of the double-overhanging roof structure are pre-fabricated hollow steel sections, cut and welded to form the necessary
angles to produce a grid spacing of 1500 mm.
Joists and overhang beams are DIN EN 10025 hollow sections, mitre-cut and rigidly welded together to form the structure's elevated
cantilever member.
Cantilever arm ends are bevelled to improve appearance. This bevel is adopted and continued by the roof joist running the length of the shelter
near the forward edge of its overhang. Roof joists also function as pressure-rigid stiffening elements. All vertical supports and cantilever joists
are dip-bath hot galvanised per DIN EN ISO 1461 to provide appropriate corrosion protection also on the inside of the tubing. A mandatory
prerequisite for this is suitable part design for hot galvanising, particularly with respect to aspects of "air escape" and "slag inclusion".
The bottom end of vertical supports are to be
❏ shackled in pit foundations at the construction site then set in concrete after assembly of the shelter's steel framework, or
❏ bolted to a suitable surface by way of rigid base plates.
The structural dimensioning of all support structure elements is carried out according to static requirements (DIN 1055).
The structural shape, cross section, building height, connections and stabilisation are to be optimised through structural and static
calculations. The entire structure is to be designed to handle a rated snow load of 0.75 kN/m2.
The manufacturer shall possess a "short-form qualification certificate" in compliance with DIN 18800, Part 7 to perform welding
work. The material used in the steel frame structure must be S 235 JRG 2C quality per DIN EN 10025 and DIN 17100, Material
No. 1.0122 and produced for hot galvanised suitability with appropriate alloying constituents (elimination of the so-called
"zinc/iron reaction").
The entire structure is to be designed with weld/screw joints such that welding work at the construction site (which would be detrimental
to corrosion protection) can be absolutely eliminated. Such a design also makes it possible to replace individual parts or to
expand existing systems with additional modules.
The clearance height, as measured from the under surface of the roof beam section shall vary between 2,10 m and 2.30 m.
Controlled drainage for the shelter system is provided for the roof's surface by a rain gutter fastened to the rear-side of the overhang
which has water-tight end caps. This rain gutter is emptied by the required number of downpipes.
The rain gutter is positioned along the centre axis of the trough formed by the double-winged roof overhang.
The entire roof structure shall consist of industrially manufactured system components.
The award of contract is contingent upon provision of a functional sample at the premises of the tender inviting office as well as the
naming of a location where a structure equivalent (in the sense of >identical
