Meaning of the symbol
This equipment is protected by double or reinforced
insulation. It does not require connection to the protective
earth terminal to ensure electrical safety.
You have just purchased an F11N or F13N multimeter clamp
and we thank you for your confidence. To obtain the best
possible service from your equipment:
- read these operating instructions carefully,
- respect the precautions for use.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
■ Make sure that the conductor is correctly aligned in relation
to the markers and that the clamp is properly closed.
■ This clamp can be used in category-III installations with
voltages of less than 600 V in relation to the earth.
■ Category III meets the severe reliability and availability
requirements corresponding to constant use on fixed
industrial installations (cf. IEC 664-1).
■ Do not use the clamp for currents greater than 1,000 A.
Limit the measurement time for currents between 700 A
and 1,000 A.
■ Make sure that the switch and, if necessary, the leads are
positioned correctly before making any measurements.
■ Always disconnect the leads from the clamp when
measuring the current.
■ Always disconnect the clamp from all sources of electricity
before changing the battery.
■ Do not carry out any resistance measurements, continuity
tests or diode tests on a live circuit.
■ Set the switch to OFF when you are not using the clamp.
