The latest electmnicand multi-media work by Karlheinz
Stockhausen will be given seven premiere performances in June 1992
at La Scala in Milan. Titled Dienstag aus Licht (Tuesday from LightJ,
it will be played from 24-track tape through eight groups ofspeakers
positioned in cube fOrID to allow for vertical and diagonal' sound
movement at a variety of speeds.

research institute that he founded in 1974. While noting that he has
arrived at the official retirement age for French public officials, the
,65-year-old composer added that he is leaving lRCAM primarily to
spend more time composing and conducting.

hosting Radio Rethink, residencies and symposia on the theme of
