C’est, comme chaque année, une grande joie de pouvoir regarder une promotion d’étudiants du Master International Vintage aboutir à l’étape de la remise des diplômes. C’est aussi une grande satisfaction de voir cette année la sélection du Master Vintage dans le programme Erasmus Mundus renouvelée pour 5 années à compter de 2010. Nous le prenons comme une reconnaissance de la qualité de la formation prodiguée durant les 5 années passées et comme une nouvelle invitation à tendre toujours plus vers l’excellence. Je passe maintenant avec confiance le flambeau de la responsabilité du master à Chantal MAURY, tous mes vœux l’accompagnent pour cette mission exigeante mais passionnante. C’est, enfin, un très grand honneur de voir cette promotion parrainée par Monsieur Federico CASTELLUCCI. La présence du directeur général de l’OIV est pour nous le signe d’une reconnaissance encore plus importante, celle de la filière viticole envers cette formation que nous voulons au service du développement de ce secteur. Qu’il soit donc ici particulièrement remercié de son parrainage et assuré de notre souhait toujours renouvelé de faire correspondre la formation aux besoins de la filière viticole en cadres internationaux. Ce groupe de diplômés a particulièrement pu vivre la diversité culturelle. Celle de la viticulture Européenne en séjournant dans des vignobles aussi différents que le Val de Loire, le Douro, les vignobles hongrois, italiens, roumains et grecs. Celle de leurs propres différences de cultures et de personnalités, qui les a préparés à évoluer professionnellement dans des environnements très divers. Ils vont maintenant partir mettre en œuvre leur passion commune de la vigne et du vin dans le monde entier. Je leur souhaite sincèrement bonne chance pour leurs vies professionnelle et personnelle. It is a real joy every year, to see our Vintage master students reaching the time of Degree awards. It is also a great satisfaction that the selection of Vintage Master Course in the Erasmus Mundus program has been renewed for 5 more years from 2010 on. We take it as recognition of the quality of the course given to the students over the past 5 years, and it is an invitation to continue our efforts towards increased excellence. I’m currently transmitting, with full confidence, the coordination of the Vintage Master Course to Chantal MAURY and I send her my best wishes for this demanding but nevertheless so interesting mission. Last but not least, It is a great honour to see this intake of students patronized by Mr Federico Castellucci. The presence of the general manager of OIV is for us an even more important sign of the wine industry’s recognition, of this master course that we want to dedicate to the development of this sector. So we particularly thank him for his sponsorship and assure him of our continuous desire to match the course to the needs of international executives in the wine sector. This group of graduates has particularly experienced cultural diversity. That of European wine while staying in the vineyards as various as the Val de Loire, Douro, Hungarian, Italian, Romanian and Greek vineyards. The differences of their own cultures and personalities have prepared them to work in a variety of environments. They are now starting to implement their shared passion for the vine and wine in the world. I truly wish them good luck in their professional and personal lives.
