LES SYSTEMES CRISTALLINS<br />
Seules certaines combinaisons d’axes de symétrie sont compatibles<br />
avec l’existence d’un réseau de translation. L’ordre de l’axe le plus<br />
élevé et l’orientation mutuelle <strong>des</strong> axes détermine à quel système<br />
cristallin une structure appartient. Chaque système cristallin possède<br />
donc une symétrie minimale spécifique et une maille caractéristique,<br />
décrite selon un choix conventionnel.<br />
