From Friday 1st December 2017 to Sunday 7th January
2018, the Cathedral Square will host the 19th edition
of the Christmas Ice Rink.
This facility arrives at the perfect time: in the midst of
the winter and New Year festivities and at the centre
of a diverse programme of events.
The inauguration will take place on Friday 1st December
at 19.30 and will be followed by a concert given
by a “cover-band” (no skating will take place on the
Friday).
The Christmas Skating Rink will be open to all from le
Saturday 2nd December at 10.00.
The Place de la Cathédrale square lies at the heart of
Liège’s most animated commercial centre, within immediate
reach of dozens of quality shops, restaurants
and other entertainments.
It offers a very special attraction and illuminations to
all the visitors, customers and inhabitants of this exceptional
meeting place.
The ice-skating rink, measuring 500 m², is located in
the middle of the Place de la Cathédrale square.
For each session, the Christmas Ice-Skating Rink can
welcome up to 250 people.
More than 350 pairs of ice-skates in all sizes are available
to ice-skaters.
You can also find forty other chalets, installed around
the periphery of the skating rink and in the Vinâve d’île
shopping street, proposing a range of Christmas gifts
and food to visitors: oysters, salmon, snails, Swiss fondue,
flammeküeche, foie gras, grilled pork, etc.
A 1,000 m² roof has been installed above the
Christmas ice-skating rink to ensure protection for
skaters against the rain or snow and to make sure
the ice is always of the best quality.

3 grand concerts are on
the programme at the skating rink:
-The inaugural concert by the “D6BAL” group
on Friday 1st December at 20.00.
- The “Soirée du cœur” on Friday 17th December
at 20.00.
- The closing evening with “La Bande à Lolo”,
on Saturday 6th January 2018 at 20.00.
Prices:
€ 7.50 (including skate hire) for a 2-hour session!
€ 4.50 for school groups with
a minimum of 10 people
Opening times:
- Sunday to Thursday from 10.00 to 20.00
- On Friday and Saturday from 10.00 to 22.00
Session timetables: 10.00 - 12.00 /
12.45 - 14.45 / 15.15 – 17.15 / 17.45 – 19.45
Additional session on Fridays and Saturdays
from 20.15 – 22.00
On 24th and 31st December, the skating rink
will be open from 10.00 to 18.00.
On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day,
from13.00 to 20.00.
