Placing technology and

creativity under the spotlight

With attendance at IFTM

Top Resa on the rise, and

increasingly qualified

visitors, the show organisers

are providing new services

to allow travel professionals

to take full advantage of

the opportunities available.

Today sees the conclusion

to the 24-hour Hackathon

which started yesterday

afternoon – with this

year’s theme being “Hotel

distribution, Act II: play

your part in developing

THE business hotel

marketplace.”

The web development

hackathon sees project

leaders designing an

innovative solution for the

business travel sector of

the future, based on CDS

Group technology. Teams

of engineers, developers,

and salespeople, are

putting their ingenuity and

creativity to work to develop

applications, and websites.

The final this afternoon will

round off the first day of the

International Business Travel

Days in the Agora hall, in

the heart of the Tech Zone.

It’s all part of the ongoing

efforts of IFTM Top Resa’s

senior management to

put new ideas, technology

and creativity under the

spotlight.

IFTM Top Resa met la

technologie et la créativité

à l'honneur

Avec une participation à IFTM

Top Resa toujours croissante

et des visiteurs de plus en plus

qualifiés, les organisateurs

du salon proposent cette

année de nouveaux services

permettant aux professionnels

du voyage de tirer pleinement

parti des opportunités offertes.

Aujourd’hui marque la

conclusion du Hackathon de 24

heures qui a débuté hier aprèsmidi

sur le thème “Distribution

hôtelière, Acte II: contribuez

au développement de LA

place de marché de l’hôtellerie

professionnelle”.

Ce hackathon de développement

Web permet aux chefs de projets

de concevoir une solution

innovante pour le secteur des

voyages d’affaires du futur,

basée sur la technologie du

groupe CDS. Des équipes

d'ingénieurs, de développeurs

et de commerciaux mettent ainsi

leur ingéniosité et leur créativité

au service du développement

d'applications et de sites

Web. La finale de cet aprèsmidi

clôturera le premier jour

des Journées Internationales

du Voyage d’Affaires (JIVA)

à l’Agora, au cœur de la Tech

Zone.

Tout cela fait partie des efforts

continus de la direction

d'IFTM Top Resa pour mettre à

l’honneur les nouvelles idées,

technologies et la créativité.

As we enter the second day of this year’s

IFTM Top Resa, it’s nice to see so many

familiar faces, and also some “celebrities”

here at the show.

One such case will be this afternoon

at 4:30pm, when Stéphane Bern, an

emblematic figure of the French audiovisual

scene, will be present at the stand

of Plus Belle l’Europe (stand 1-U73, TO

village). His visit will be a highlight of the

day as this highly successful tour operator

launches a number of original and unusual

activities for partners and visitors. And who

better than Stéphane to talk about history

and heritage tourism ideas?

I have also been very pleasantly surprised

with the excellent reaction to the new

Coach Operator Village, which has been

established in partnership with the FNTV.

It gives travel professionals the chance to

see what’s on offer in France today and in

the near future, with a very broad range of

transportation options
