Thanksgiving

Potluck 2019

On November 22, OMC: Family Chapel had its annual

Thanksgiving Potluck. Joined by the Youth Group of

OMC, the night was full of food, fellowship, and fun. The

night started with dinner, which was graciously prepared

by the parents of OMC Youth’s PTA, along with side

dishes that were provided by different members of FC.

Throughout the night, we enjoyed various performances

from youth students, college students, young adults, and

even some pastors! Overall, it was a blessed night to be

able to come together across generational boundaries

as fellow brothers and sisters. We are so thankful that

God has built up a church where we can celebrate His

goodness together.

New FC Members

On December 1, OMC: Family Chapel introduced 18

new members to our congregation (in alphabetical order:

Aeji Hyun, Brittany Hong, Christiana Han, Daniel Kim,

Enoch Chung, Eun Bi Jung, Eunice Lee, Haejin Suh, Ik

Song, Jeana Shin, Jonathan Yang, Nick Chung, Sandra

Na, Shawn Hwang, Soo Kim, Sydney Song, Will Kwon,

and Yoojin Chung). All 18 members have demonstrated

faithful involvement with FC for at least 6 consecutive

months. Additionally, they were all interviewed and

took membership classes in order to understand the

significance of church membership. In a culture that

is allergic to commitment, these 18 brothers and sisters

have covenanted together to belong to this community.

In their membership, they have committed themselves

to building up the family of God at FC, and we are so

excited to see how God will use them for His glory.

Missions Report

Night 2019

OMC: Family Chapel celebrated the month of October

as Missions Month. Missions Month is a month when the

church is able to hear of God’s kingdom work all throughout

the world from people who have gone overseas. In order to

conclude Missions Month, we had Missions Report Night

as a way to further communicate the importance of living

missionally right where God has placed us. It was a night

filled with eating delicious ethnic foods, receiving testimonies

and presentations from students, and hearing a challenging

message from Missionary David Ta. He really exhorted us to

be kingdom ambassadors by being rooted in the King. It is our

prayer that we would continue to grow as a church that loves

and lives out God’s mission.
