Il en compte 16 en Belgique, répartis de manière équilibrée : 7 en Wallonie, 8 en Flandre et 1 à Bruxelles. L’établissement de Nivelles est le dernier a avoir été rénové, et le moins que l’on puisse écrire, c’est que Bob Wohrmann a mis les petits plats dans les grands. « La situation géographique de l’hôtel est idéale puisque nous sommes à la campagne tout en étant à proximité immédiate des grands axes routiers. De ce fait, nous attirons aussi bien une clientèle d’affaires (surtout en semaine) que de loisirs (week-ends et vacances). Depuis 1930 Au décès de sa maman en 1929, Martinus Van der Valk, fils cadet d’une famille de 24 enfants, hérite à Voorschoten (Pays-Bas) de la ferme familiale et du café attenant. Cet événement a donné le coup d’envoi du développement de la chaîne hôtelière puisqu’un hôtel tout neuf a vu le jour avec les 10 premières chambres du groupe. LOISIRS ET BUSINESS Parmi les nombreuses offres proposées par l’hôtel, les ‘packs premiums’ occupent une place de choix, à l’instar du forfait ‘Namaste’. « Après le cocktail de bienvenue, nous proposons une suite Executive d’environ 55 m2 avec terrasse, feu ouvert, bain à bulles. Le pack comprend également une heure de massage pour deux personnes ainsi qu’un accès au spa et un menu trois services au restaurant. » Pour les événements professionnels aussi, le Van der Valk Nivelles est un rendezvous incontournable. « Nous mettons à disposition de nos clients pas moins de 15 salles de réception/séminaire totalement modulables et pouvant accueillir jusqu’à 750 personnes selon la configuration. Toutes bénéficient de la lumière du jour et sont équipées des dernières technologies en matière de projection et de connectivité. » Et que ce soit pour les loisirs ou le business, le chef Cédric Tennstedt fait sortir des merveilles de sa cuisine. Ce virtuose des fourneaux a rejoint l’hôtel en 2019 et participe activement à la montée en gamme du Van der Valk de Nivelles. Sans oublier une cave à vins dont la réputation n’est plus à faire.
