Poesia illuminazione<br />
siamo stati tutti fratelli, ermafroditi come ostriche<br />
accordando sconsideratamente le nostre perle<br />
nessuno aveva inventato ancora la proprietà<br />
né la colpa o il tempo<br />
guardavamo le stagioni passare, eravamo cristallini come neve<br />
e ci fondevamo dolcemente in sempre nuove forme<br />
mentre le stelle roteavano attorno a noi<br />
non conoscevamo il tradimento<br />
noi stessi eravamo perle<br />
irritanti transmutati in splendore<br />
e offerti sconsideratamente<br />
le nostre perle divennero più preziose e i nostri sessi stabili<br />
la mutabilità accrebbe un guscio, concepimmo lingue diverse<br />
nuove parole per nuovi concetti, inventammo le sveglie<br />
le recinzioni la lealtà<br />
eppure… anche ora… simulando una comunione<br />
infinite percezioni<br />
mi ricordo<br />
siamo stati tutti fratelli<br />
e offriamo sconsideratamente<br />

we have all been brothers, hermaphroditic as oysters<br />
bestowing our pearls carelessly<br />
no one yet had invented ownership<br />
nor guilt nor time<br />
we watched the seasons pass, we were as crystalline as snow<br />
and melted gently into newer forms<br />
as stars spun round our heads<br />
we had not learned betrayal<br />
our selves were pearls<br />
irritants transmuted into luster<br />
and offered carelessly<br />
our pearls became more precious and our sexes static<br />
mutability grew a shell, we devised different languages<br />
new words for new concepts, we invented alarm clocks<br />
fences loyalty<br />
still... even now... making a feint at communion<br />
infinite perceptions<br />
I remember<br />
we have all been brothers<br />
and offer carelessly
