Robert "Bob" McFadden (1923-2000), attore e<br />
doppiatore di cartoni animati, ha collaborato nel<br />
1959 col poeta e cantante Rod McKuen (n.1933),<br />
qui col nome d'arte di Dor, in uno strafottente<br />
inno che in tempo reale volgeva in parodia gli<br />
stereotipi beat (lo stesso anno, McKuen ha<br />
registrato Beatsville, album di amabili prose a<br />
tema beatnik con accompagnamento musicale). Il<br />
brano è stata rivisto e corretto nei Settanta da<br />
Richard Hell, che l’ha trasformato nel manifesto punk Blank<br />

Robert "Bob" McFadden (1923-2000), actor and cartoon dubber,<br />
collaborated in 1959 with poet and singer Rod McKuen (born in<br />
1933), here under the alias Dor, for an insolent hymn that transformed<br />
into parody the beat stereotypes in real time (in the same year McKuen<br />
recorded Beatsville, an album of tender proses on a beat subject<br />
accompanied by music). The tune was revisited and corrected in the<br />
70's by Richard Hell who morphed it into the punk manifesto Blank<br />
Generation.<br />
