Lanciata a novembre la campagna del Consiglio
d’Europa per combattere la violenza sessuale sui
minori. All’evento di presentazione ha partecipato
anche Elsag Datamat, impegnata nella progettazione
strategica e nella comunicazione
visiva per l’Osservatorio italiano per il contrasto
della pedofilia e della pornografia minorile

Un bimbo su cinque subisce abuso
sessuale in Europa: un dato impressionante
che non può più essere
ignorato dalle istituzioni. È stato
questo l’argomento principale trattato
in occasione dell’evento di lancio della
campagna europea per combattere la
violenza sessuale sui minori, svoltosi a
Roma presso il complesso monumentale
di San Michele a Ripa Grande.
A presentare l’iniziativa, il Ministro per
le Pari Opportunità, Mara Carfagna, e il
Vice segretario generale del Consiglio
d’Europa, Maud de Boer Buquicchio, che
si sono spesi in accorati appelli a unire le
forze e a trovare soluzioni comuni per
combattere questa devastante piaga. All’evento
hanno preso parte il Presidente
della Repubblica Italiana, Giorgio Napolitano,
ministri e autorità dei quarantasette
Stati membri del Consiglio
d’Europa, operatori del settore, aziende
profit e no profit e giornalisti. Oltre agli
interventi di tutti i paesi partecipanti e
degli addetti ai lavori e alla testimonianza
di un ragazzo di nazionalità francese
vittima di abusi, durante la due
giorni sono stati presentati lo spot televisivo
(poi diffuso sulle reti Rai) e il ma-

ONE OUT OF FIVE
One out of every five children in Europe is the victim of sexual violence, a
staggering fact that can no longer be ignored by the establishment. This
was the main subject discussed at the launch event for the European
campaign to combat sexual violence against minors, which took place in Rome
at the San Michele a Ripa Grande monumental complex.
Italian Equal Opportunity Minister, Mara Carfagna, and the Vice-Secretary General
of the Council of Europe,
Maud de Boer Buquicchio, pre-
sented the initiative in a heartfelt
appeal to unite forces and find
shared solutions to fight this devastating
menace. Attending the
event were the President of Italy,
Giorgio Napolitano, ministers
and dignitaries from the 47
Member States of the Council of
Europe, sector operators, profit
and non profit companies, and
journalists. In addition to
speeches by all the participating
countries and experts in the field,
not to mention testimony from a
French boy who was a victim of
abuse, the two-day event presented the television commercial produced (and
later broadcast on Italy’s state television stations) and support material for the
Italian version of the campaign. One of the communication tools available free
of charge in all Italian bookshops is the fable Kiko and the Hand, which parents
can use to help their children carefully gain awareness of their rights as human
beings, helping them to understand that some parts of their bodies must not
