come una preghiera ossessiva e silenziosa, svelata nel video dai sottotitoli.
La protagonista del film sembra dirci che il Muro si scavalca solo abbattendo
il Tetto e le sue espressioni facciali unite alla gestualità del corpo
manifestano la sua speranza nella realizzazione di questo sogno.
Il termine Tetto assume un ampio significato metaforico e la ripetizione
ossessiva della scena corrisponde al pulsare del desiderio che porta l’individuo
a sperare nel crollo del Tetto fino a naufragare nell’illusione.

The scene of the movie Dancer in the dark, in which Björk ecstatically
ricites the phrase “All walls are great if the roof doesn’t fall”, is being
repeated slowly and silently as an obsessive and silent prayer revealed
by subtitles in the video.
The protagonist of the movie seems to tell us that only by knocking down
the Roof we can climb the Wall, and her facial expressions combined with
gestures of her body show her hope in the realization of this dream.
The term Roof takes on a broad metaphorical meaning, and the obsessive
repetition of the scene corresponds to the pulsation of desire that makes
the person hope for the collapse of the Roof sinking into the illusion.
