Das Sternendorf Steinegg liegt auf einem
Hochplateau umringt von den Dolomitenbergen
Rosengarten, Latemar und Schlern. Die
Hochfläche bietet viele Wanderrouten ohne
nennenswerte Steigung und mit freien Blick
zu den magischen Bergspitzen. Die Ausgangspunkte
für Touren auf diese Gipfel sind
bequem und in kurzer Zeit mit öffentlichen
Bussen erreichbar. In den Dörfern Steinegg
(823 m), Karneid (500 m), Kardaun (390 m),
Gummer (1117 m) und Blumau (315 m) wirken
die alten Traditionen noch vielfältig ins Alltagsleben
hinein und werden bei zahlreichen Festen
und Veranstaltungen gepflegt. Das Museum
Steinegg ist ein Prachtstück der bäuerlichen
Lebensweise und die Burg Karneid entführt in
die Welt des Mittelalters. In Obergummer steht
die einzige Stern- und Sonnenwarte Südtirols
mit angeschlossenem Planetenrundwanderweg
und in Gummer bietet das neue Planetarium
Einblick in die Welt der Sterne.
L’astrovillaggio Collepietra (823 m) è situato
su un altipiano soleggiato circondato dai
gruppi dolomitici del Catinaccio, Latemar
e Sciliar. Il comune di Cornedo comprende
oltre a Collepietra (823 m) anche i paesi
Cornedo (500 m), Cardano (390 m), San
Valentino (1117 m) e Parto all’Isarco (500 m).
I numerosi sentieri sull’altipiano non presentano
grandi dislivelli e si snodano in un
ambiente naturale magnifico con una vista
unica sulle montagne circostanti. I punti di
partenza per escursioni su queste cime sono
raggiungibili in poco tempo e comodamente
con gli autobus pubblici.
La presenza dell’unico osservatorio astronomico
e solare dell’Alto Adige con il nuovo
Planetario, del magnifico Castello medievale
di Cornedo, dell’imperdibile Museo di
Collepietra sugli usi e costumi della storia
locale aumentano il fascino di questa zona,
dove è facile imparare ad amare la cultura
altoatesina, anche grazie alle numerose feste
folcloristiche tradizionali.
The village of Collepietra (823m) is located
on a large high-Alpine plateau with a stunning
view of the Rosengarten, Latemar and
Sciliar mountains. The region’s hiking trails
are relatively flat and perfect for families,
while craggy peaks dominate the skyline
above. You can reach the starting points
for a summit tour by bus. Local traditions
continue to play a major role in everyday life
in the villages of Collepietra (823m), Cardano
(390m) Cornedo (500m),San Valentino
(1,117m) and Prato all’Isarco (315m), with
centuries-old rituals and celebrations still
important events in the annual calendar.
San Valentino is home to the only solar and
astronomical observatory in the South Tyrol
and the new planetarium offers visitors a
chance to find out more about the universe.
The local museum in Steinegg is a fascinating
place to learn more about how the
local population lived in days gone by and
the medieval castle of Cornedo is also well
worth a visit.
