Uno strato massivo può essere:<br />
omogeneo, ossia cost<strong>it</strong>u<strong>it</strong>o da un solo<br />
componente granulometrico o da due,<br />
ma con tess<strong>it</strong>ura a supporto di clasti;<br />
disomogeneo, cioè cost<strong>it</strong>u<strong>it</strong>o da più<br />
componenti granulometriche distribu<strong>it</strong>e<br />
in modo caotico. Quest’ultimo tipo di<br />
depos<strong>it</strong>o viene anche chiamato<br />
diamicton.<br />
