Rhythm, songs, jokes and lots of good music
are the main ingredients of the show “Como
che in-canta” (Como sings songs), organized by
“Amici di Como”, “Etv” and “Corriere di Como”
on Thursday 12th March at the Teatro Sociale.
An extraordinary musical show with a charity
purpose, in order to help the association “Simpatia”
of Valmorea, that takes care of disabled
persons. Politicians, entrepreneurs and musicians
gave life to a musical kermesse of all
respect proposing “ever green” songs of ‘60ies
and ‘70ies. Leo Valli, anchorman of the evening,
pretended to act like the Italian anchorman
Maurizio Costanzo during his “Maurizio Costanzo
Show” with the direction of Renzo Pesci.
Between gag and jokes of the anchorman, the
crowded theatre followed the performances of
four bands, which alternated themselves on stage.
The Nuovi Angeli (Raffaele Schiavoni, Paki
Canzi, Valentina Ferri, Stefano Mellerio, Paolo
Pagani e Emilio Bonvini) proposed the famous
Sopra, da sinistra, Leonardo Carioni, Giorgio Pozzi insieme
con Leo Valli; sopra, Sergio Gaddi

and always catchy “Singapore” and “Donna
Felicità”, the Beati, musical group composed by
Cesar Baj, Gianfranco Ambrosoli, Daniele Baricci,
Paolo Teatini and Maurizio Orlandi, introduced
covers of American and English groups. The
anchorman, Leo Valli received and interviewed
politicians on a red sofa, which was strategically
placed on stage, during the evening they tried
unusual roles for them, for example acting and
singing. Surprising the performance of Leonardo
Carioni, President of the Provincial Administration,
who sang “Emozione non ha voce” by
Adriano Celentano, a song which is not easy to
perform. Sergio Gaddi, Councilor of Culture in
the Municipality of Como turned to be an actor
and with a deep voice, he recited parts of “Le
piccole cose che amo di te” by Stefano Benni,
“Se” by Rudyard Kipling and “S’i fosse foco arderei
‘l mondo” by Cecco Angiolieri. Continuing
with politicians, Giorgio Pozzi, commissioner of
Forza Italia, proposed the songs “Un’avventura”
by Battisti and “Che sarà” by Ricchi e Poveri.
Thanks also to a good game of lights the public,
warmth and always involved, listened to the
fantastic songs of ‘70ies. The Blackstones (Frank
Night, Sir Darius McCarthey, Riki Van Der Wall,
Lanny Brush e Nick Dylan), band known as an
authorized group, paid a tribute to Bob Dylan
and presented songs of the American artist.
At the end, the Vintage, group made by Massimo
Vita, Maurizio Giunco, Walter Azzolini and
Vanny Patriarca, together with the symphony
orchestra, directed by the maestro Pierangelo
Gelmini, skillfully and magically, closed the
evening.
«Positive evening – said Daniele Brunati, patron
of “Amici di Como” – the people of Como answered
with their heart; more than 10 thousand
Euro were given to the association “Sim-patia”.
They are always very generous and talking
about music, we can say that they answered in
