Blasco–Zumeta discovered galls on twigs of Juniperusthurifera in Los Monegros in 1991 caused by an undescribedgall midge species. The causer was described as Etsuhoathuriferae by Skuhravá (1996).9 Harm<strong>and</strong>iola Skuhravá, 1997Skuhravá (1997) established a new name Harm<strong>and</strong>iola forHarm<strong>and</strong>ia Kieffer, 1896, preoccupied by Rochebrune, 1892,for Mollusca.10 Lasioptera ariasis Skuhravá et García, in litt.New gall midge species damaging fruits of Prunus cerasusdiscovered in the Valle del Jerte in the province Cáceres(Extremadura) in 1995.11 Macrodiplosis dryobia (F. Löw, 1877)Madeira: 8.9.2001, gall on Quercus sp. (Pujade–Villar data).New records for Madeira.12 Putoniella pruni (Kaltenbach, 1872)Spain: Barcelona: Hostalets de Balenyà, 4.7.1937, ex. Prunusspinosa (Fusté leg. <strong>and</strong> Vilarrubia col.); Malla, 12.7. 1937, ex.Prunus spinosa (Vilarrúbia leg. <strong>and</strong> col), (Bellido & Pujade–Villardata). New record for Spain.13 Rabdophaga Westwood, 1840Stelter (1993) gave synonyms of several gall midge species ofthis genus larvae of which are associated with various speciesof Salix where their larvae cause galls of specific shape.14 Rhopalomyia hypogaea (F. Löw, 1885)Spain: Barcelona: Balenyà, 29.7.1937, ex Leucanthemumvulgare (Vilarrúbia leg. y col.), (Bellido & Pujade–Villardata). New record for Spain.15 Spurgia Gagné, 1900Gagné (1990) established a new genus for gall midge speciespreviously interpreted under the genus Bayeria Rübsaamen,1914.16 Xerephedromyia ustjurtensis Fedotova, 1992Galls on Ephedra distachya (Ephedraceae) were found by J.Blasco–Zumeta in Los Monegros (6358) firstly in 1995 <strong>and</strong>then in subsequent years. He was successful in rearing adultswhich are identical with adults described from Kazakhstan(Middle Asia) by Fedotova in 1992 (Fedotova, 2000).17 Gongromastix angustipennis (Strobl, 1904)Jaschhof (1998) synonymized Gongromastix <strong>and</strong>orranaEnderlein, 1936 with Gongromastix angustipennis (Strobl).18 Neurolyga fenestralis Rondani, 1840Jaschhof (1998) removed from synonymy the genus NeurolygaRondani, 1840, with type–species N. fenestralis Rondani,1840 <strong>and</strong> synonymized Campylomyza rudis Winnertz, 1870,<strong>and</strong> C. fuscinervis Winnertz, 1870, with N. fenestralis.ACKNOWLEDGEMENTSThe first author would like to express thanks to Javier Blasco–Zumetafor his kindness that he called me for collaboration onhis large project to establish the protection of Los Monegros in thepreparing phase of which he collected galls of gall midges <strong>and</strong>gathered extensive material of adults of various insect groupsincluding large number of gall midges.
